Refund and Dispute Policy

Refunds are only provided under the following circumstances:

  • If Ahi Kā Haka & Hāngī cancels the service due to unforeseen circumstances.

  • If there is a significant failure to deliver the promised service.

Refunds will not be issued for late arrivals, no-shows, or dissatisfaction due to personal preferences. If you have a concern about your experience, please contact us at +64 27 4232 282 to discuss a resolution. Disputes will be addressed on a case-by-case basis to ensure a fair outcome.

Cancellation Policy

Customer Cancellations:

Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled service will be eligible for a full refund.

No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled service.

Ahi Kā Haka & Hāngī Cancellations:

If we need to cancel a service, you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.

Terms and Conditions

By using our website, making a booking, or attending a performance, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

1. General Terms

1.1. By accessing or using our website, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
1.2. Our services are only available to individuals 18 years or older. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
1.3. We reserve the right to update or modify these terms without prior notice. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Bookings and Payments

2.1. Reservations are required for all events and must be made through our website or by contacting us directly.
2.2. Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated. We accept credit card.
2.3. Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations made 48 hours before the event will receive a full refund.

  • Cancellations within 48 hours of the event are non-refundable.

  • No-shows will not be refunded.
    2.4. Amendments to bookings may incur additional fees and are subject to availability.

3. Food and Beverage

3.1. Allergen Notice: While we take care to accommodate dietary requirements, we cannot guarantee the absence of allergens due to potential cross-contamination. Customers with allergies must notify us at the time of booking.
3.2. Alcohol Policy:

  • Guests must provide valid ID to consume alcohol.

  • We comply with responsible serving practices and may refuse service if deemed necessary.

  • BYO is not permitted.
    3.3. Outside food and beverages are not allowed unless prior consent is obtained.

4. On-Site Behaviour

4.1. Customers are expected to behave respectfully toward staff, performers, and other guests. Abusive or disruptive behaviour will result in removal from the premises without refund.
4.2. Parents or guardians are responsible for the supervision of minors at all times.
4.3. Any damages caused to property or facilities by guests will be charged to the individual or group responsible.

5. Liability and Disclaimers

5.1. All food and beverages are consumed at the guest’s own risk. We are not liable for any adverse reactions, including those from allergens.
5.2. We are not responsible for injuries, loss, or damages sustained on the premises unless caused by gross negligence on our part.
5.3. Performances, schedules, and event content are subject to change without notice.
5.4. Force Majeure: We are not liable for cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control, such as extreme weather or government restrictions.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

6.1. We collect and store customer data solely for the purpose of fulfilling bookings and providing services.
6.2. By providing your contact information, you consent to receiving emails related to your booking. You may opt out of promotional communications at any time.
6.3. Your data will not be shared with third parties without your consent unless required by law.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1. All website content, logos, and branding are the property of Ahi Kā Haka & Hāngī and may not be reproduced or used without permission.
7.2. By attending our events, you consent to any photos or videos taken on-site being used for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to appear in such materials, please notify us in writing.

8. Refunds and Event Changes

8.1. Refunds are processed according to our cancellation policy (see section 2.3).
8.2. If we need to cancel an event, customers will be offered the option of a full refund or rescheduling to a future date.
8.3. No compensation is provided for minor changes to event details, such as a change in performers or menu.

9. Accessibility

9.1. We strive to make our facilities accessible to all guests. Please contact us in advance to discuss any specific needs or accommodations.
9.2. While we make every effort to provide accessible facilities, there may be some limitations in older or heritage buildings.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queenstown.
